I mean the main 3 carackters either believe women are here to serve men or else theyre sl*ts (malthus) or they cheat ob women and stay friends with a traffixker (Roberto) or traffixk innocent girls and ruin their lives for money (aramel). The side male carackters aside from 1 or 2 are even worse they almost make the main 3 look nice in comparison.

If Malthus sucks so does Hilda, things from childhood stick with you, Malthus literally doesn’t know any better and whenever he is in a vulnerable state Father Nelson or his mother brainwash him even more. At least Malthus has a valid explanation not saying its okay. Him and Hilda don’t understand each other right now, but that’s something that happens to everyone. To build a relationship you have to understand each other or at least TRY to, and at this point in time they aren’t trying at all. #justiceformalthus 💔
The ones who are coming for Malthus really fail to give him any grace. Religious indoctrination is something extremely hard to break out of. He has been sheltered and groomed to be a Saint and stay away from sin all his life. At this point in the series, he is only BEGINNING to think and want something for himself. You can't just completely eradicate everything you've been taught your whole life overnight. Deconstructing yourself and leaving behind bigoted ideas and behaviours takes time and effort. And Malthus' environment is not helping either, since every time he tries to express those new feelings he is experimenting, he gets immediately shut down by the priest and his mother. It's hard to get better as a person in such a harsh environment. Yes, he isn't perfect, but he is definitely more decent than the other men in the show, and at least he's got some justification for the way he's been acting.

Dorinha's grandfather is also fake he's married but always goes to the brothel and I think he might have an affair with Lucianara. All the women deserves better expect for the old ladies and the priest mum. I really love Maria, Leonor, Thin waist, Nevita and all the sex workers they're such icons.

While I feel bad for MC, if I were Gabriel, I would've chosen Aramel too. If we just pretend for a moment that Aramel isn't a trafficker- he's the better pick because he was willing to come clean and tell the truth to Gabriela. MC seemed desperate to keep the farce going on for... who knows how long. Also, Aramel has more at stake than MC for trying to start an honest relationship with Gabriela. MC's only issue is "she may not like me because I'm not conventionally attractive" whereas for Aramel, it's "if I want to Gabriela to love me I will need to stand up to Tonico, have all of my possessions stripped away, and give up on my dreams".
ABOVE ALL- It just feels like Aramel is willing to put in more effort than MC to make Gabriela happy. I want to feel bad for MC but I just can't because he's an older man that was willing to lie to his teenage fangirl because he had a strange infatuation with her. Also worth remembering that MC regularly visits the red light district, so he isn't *that* nice of a guy.

And I think in his mind to be a saint or as close to God was by performing the miracle and 'saving' Hilda. I understand how that comes off as prideful but I see it more as him wanting to prove himself and not understanding changing feminist ideals as we do but confinement to the church.

honestly its good to judge their characters, nobody is perfect its up to the show if they develop from their flaws or not. its what sticks, this happens in real life… im glad that this isnt sail smoothing path, just like in real life. everybody could be stupid and bad, some could never be justified and some could still be improved. it gives us audience feeling and judge if what they do is wrong or not, like a lesson we can learn from. honestly both hilda and malthus have flaws and for us we could probably know how to fix it but for them, their age, environment, where and who they grew up with its not easy to change… it needs a big path for them to learn in the most hard way and im here to see how they will go on from that. the same with side characters as well.
